BMS and automation

Installation, servicing, field device repair, and changes to software, programming and graphics packages.

Scope

Ten years on controls, not a sideline.

Building management systems are the part most mechanical contractors subcontract out. It is the part Brandon spent a decade on, which is why it sits at the front of this business rather than the back.

  • Installation of building management systems
  • Servicing across a broad range of existing systems
  • Repair and replacement of faulty field equipment
  • Maintaining and amending software, programming and graphics packages
  • Points list, schedules and strategy changes

The usual problem

The system is fine. Nobody has touched it in six years.

Most buildings we walk into are running the strategy they were commissioned with, through tenancy changes, plant replacements and a few overrides that were never taken back off. The gear is capable. The configuration has drifted away from how the building is actually used.

  • Overrides left in from an old fault
  • Schedules running against current tenancy hours
  • Sensors reading wrong and the controls believing them
  • Graphics that no longer match the plant on site

Starting point

Usually it begins with a look.

Review

Half a day on the graphics and in the plant room tells you most of what is wrong.

Report

What is drifted, what is broken, and what is worth changing, with the cost of each.

Then decide

You can take all of it, some of it, or just the report. No obligation past that point.
